The NanoBiGroup integrates expertise in nanomedicine, biomedical imaging, and translational technologies to develop advanced nanomedicines and imaging-guided solutions for the diagnosis and treatment of oncological, metabolic, infectious, neurodegenerative diseases as well as for the development of healthcare products. The group combines inorganic and organic nanomaterials, such as polymeric systems and liposomes, and integrates them with multimodal imaging to enable precise drug delivery, the development of quantitative imaging biomarkers, and non-invasive monitoring of biodistribution.
The NanoBiGroup focuses on the development of nanomedicine and imaging-guided solutions for cancer, metabolic, infectious, and neurodegenerative diseases. Key interests include advanced nanomaterials for drug delivery and theranostics, light-based therapies, radiopharmaceuticals, and multimodal imaging for non-invasive monitoring. The group also works on preclinical models and natural products to support precision medicine approaches.
