Maria M. M. Santos and Rui Moreira awarded with a MSCA Doctoral Network

iMed.ULisboa researchers Maria M. M. Santos and Rui Moreira, group leaders of Medicinal Organic Chemistry Lab and Medicinal Chemistry Lab, respectively, were granted with a HORIZON-TMA-MSCA-DN with the project titled “OncoProTools – Protease‐guided tumor targeting tools to revolutionize cancer diagnosis and treatment”.

 

The European Commission has announced the results of the 2021 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) call for Doctoral Networks. The European Commission will fund a total of 144 doctoral programmes in which the OncoProTools project consortium, composed by the University of Antwerpen (coordinator), University of Copenhagen, University of Mainz, CROmed, Helmholtz Zentrum Dresden Rossendorf, Spanish Research Council, Faculty of Pharmacy of University of Lisbon, Cellply, and University of Bern, was funded with 2.331,266 €.

 

The main goal of this project is to deliver a training program to 10 Doctoral Candidates to become future leaders of Research & Innovation (R&I) in patient-centered oncotherapy and diagnostics. Together, the consortium can support the full trajectory from early discovery over preclinical to even clinical development.
