Jaime received his BSc and MSc degrees in Chemistry from Instituto Superior Técnico, Portugal and obtained his PhD at Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Lisbon (2014) under the supervision of Prof. Carlos A. M. Afonso. During his doctoral studies he joined Prof. Nuno Maulide group at Max-Planck-Institut für Kohlenforschung, Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany as a visiting PhD Student. After postdoctoral experiences at University of California, Berkeley (Prof. Dean Toste) and University of Utah (Prof. Matthew S. Sigman) and Researcher positions at iMed.ULisboa (FFUL) and CBIOS (Lusofona University) he moved to Centro de Química Estrutural, Faculty of Sciences, University of Lisbon as an Assistant Researcher. Research Areas of Interest: Organic Chemistry, Computational Chemistry, Sustainable Chemistry.
