Filipa Siopa (1979, Portugal) has a Chemistry Degree, 2003. After a PhD thesis in Bioorganic chemistry with Prof. Paula S. Branco (2011, New University of Lisbon, Portugal), Filipa Siopa undertook a post-doc with Prof. Carlos A. M. Afonso (iMed.ULisboa/Faculty of Pharmacy University of Lisbon, FFUL, Portugal). In 2019, Filipa Siopa take a Junior Research position at FFUL. F.Siopa research interests lay in synthetic organic chemistry that include flow chemistry, medicinal chemistry and biomass valorization. Her research is mainly focused on the synthetic valorisation of national natural resources, green chemistry (photochemical reactions, flow chemistry), catalyzed synthetic methodologies, synthesis of new ionic liquids and total synthesis.
