Rui Loureiro is a Pharmacist specialized in Industrial Pharmacy and holding postgraduate studies in Quality Management and Industrial Engineering. He is a founding member of the Portuguese Society for Quality & Safety in Healthcare (APQS). He worked for the National Authority of Medicines and Health Products (INFARMED, I.P.). Rui Loureiro is an invited lecturer at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Lisbon, teaching Quality Management, at the graduate and postgraduate levels. He has published more than 30 works on quality in healthcare, and risk management and published books and book chapters on medical devices regulatory, classification and quality. RL is an ISO 9001 auditor, and a member of the advisory Board of European Health Futures Forum (EHFF). His current areas of interest include Quality management, Risk management, Effectiveness management, and Innovation and Project management.
