Nuno Oliveira is an Associate Professor with Aggregation at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Medicines (DCFM) of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universidade de Lisboa (FFUL). He holds a PhD in Pharmacy (Toxicology), MSc in Food Quality Control and Toxicology, and a degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Nuno has been interested in several aspects of the Toxicological Sciences, including the study of the mechanisms of toxicity and DNA damage & repair induced by chemotherapeutic drugs, food mutagens, environmental contaminants and ionizing radiation. Currently, he is interested in the study of in vitro approaches towards cancer therapy using DNA repair inhibitors and superoxide dismutase mimics (SODm).
