Luis André Cruz dos Santos has a degree BSc (5 years) in Biology by Universidade Lúsofona de Humanidades e Tecnologias, Lisbon, Portugal and a PhD in Pharmacy, cellular and molecular biology specialty by Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Lisbon, Lisbon, Portugal. Began his career in 2007 at the National Institute of Health Dr. Ricardo Jorge, Lisbon, Portugal and there remains to the present days always working with influenza and other viruses at Prof. Helena Rebelo-de-Andrade team. Partly, also integrates the research team of iMed “Host -pathogen interactions” and is a member of the research team of several ongoing research projects.
Works in the area of Medical and Health Sciences with an emphasis on Infectious Diseases. With interest in cellular and molecular biology of infectious diseases in particular influenza virus, genetic reverse, cloning, influenza vaccine seeds, antiviral resistance. His portfolio includes six scientific papers published in international journals and other works presented in congresses.
