Liane Moura graduated in Biochemistry in 2008 at Faculty of Sciences, University of Porto, Portugal. In 2013, she obtained her PhD degree in Chemical Engineering (specialization in Biotechnology) at the University of Coimbra, Portugal. During the PhD, Liane prepared and characterized polymer-based wound dressings for neuropeptides delivery for diabetic foot ulcer treatment. Since 2014, Liane is member of BioNanoSciences – Drug Delivery & Immunoengineering group at iMed.ULisboa, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Lisbon, Portugal. Liane is currently focused on the characterization of the immune modulatory effect of nanovaccines in different cancer models. Additionally, Liane is interested in the development of advanced nanocarriers as immunotherapeutic approaches able to conjugate and deliver different biomolecules to specific cells, as immune and cancer cells. Liane is first author of 1 invited book chapter and 10 peer-reviewed international papers and co-author of other 12. She has 915 citations and an h-index of 13 (by Scopus). The list includes top specialty journals with high IF namely, Nature Nanotechnology, Materials Horizons and Seminars in Immunology. Liane has 17 conference papers, 16 oral communications and 49 presentations as poster. Liane has developed various collaborations along her research life and participated actively in the laboratory management. Moreover, she was involved in the organization of scientific meetings for the dissemination of important science topics and she is member of various national / international scientific societies. Liane has participated actively in funded projects (as co-PI and team member) and co-supervised undergraduate (1 ongoing; 5 finished) and master students (1 ongoing; 3 finished).
