Invited Assistant Professor of Human Physiology and Pathophysiology at Universidade de Lisboa (School of Pharmacy), with a PharmD in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Universidade de Lisboa) and a PhD in Health Sciences (Universidad de Alcalá). Physiologist, with a main interest in vascular physiology (microcirculation in particular), from the development of models to study its regulation mechanisms, to the development and application of mathematical models to physiological variables. He has published eighteen papers in international peer-reviewed indexed papers and has presented more than a hundred communications in national and international conferences. He also acts as an invited editor and reviewer of international peer-reviewed journals in the areas of Physiology and Biomedical Engineering.
