His knowledge on physical, chemical and biological processes is used in emerging biotechnology approaches for the bioproduction of drugs, pointing to: i. Design and develop value-added bioactive compounds (e.g. peptides, glycosides); ii. Design and modulation of improved bioconversion processes; iii. Modulation enzyme activity and stability by High Pressure and High Temperature technology.
