Ana holds a MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences by ISCSEM (2014) and is currently a PhD student within the frame of a funded project PTDC/MED-TOX/29183/2017 at FFUL. Ana has authored 3 papers and 1 book chapter, 3 published abstract, 9 oral communications and 5 poster communications. She is currently working on the field of Toxicology and her studies focus on the development on understand liver related mechanisms of toxicity and on developing stem cell-based therapies for liver regeneration. The development of in vitro liver models using hepatocyte-like cells are also within her research interests.
