iMed.ULisboa researchers win at StartHealth@ULisboa 2021
Diogo Magalhães e Silva and Vanda Marques, PhD students at iMed.ULisboa, were ranked first place at the 3rd edition of StartHealth@ULisboa, on November 29th 2021.
StartHealth@ULisboa is a start-up acceleration program launched by Rede Saúde at Reitoria of Universidade de Lisboa, designed to support researchers developing projects with market potential.
The winning project “Ravine” was the result of collaborative work between the Medicinal Chemistry Lab, led by Prof. Rui Moreira, and the Cell Function and Therapeutic Targeting Lab, led by Prof. Cecília Rodrigues, and aims to launch to the market an innovative method of drug delivery and tumor targeting in glioblastoma and other types of cancer.
The team was awarded with a monetary prize granted by the sponsor Medtronic.
