Research Interests

Alternative strategies of incorporating current and newer antibiotics (Abs) into acrylic bone cement (ABC), for orthopaedic infection eradication, using supercritical (SC) techniques. Enlarging of the short list of Abs that resist polymerizaytion (for the improvement of antibiotic-loaded ABC) through recrystallization technology using SC-CO2: production of new polymorphs of studied antibiotics. Other areas of research: application of structure-property relationships, to predictive studies of anti-tubercular compounds and bioactive quinolines.
