Barbara has more than 30 years of experience on design of carriers for therapeutic and analytical purposes. Performed lab work, oriented graduation students, leaded and participated in projects. Main areas of work are the optimization of colloidal carriers for therapeutic biomolecules, conjugation of enzymes do the surface of nanoparticles. More recently their studies involve the design of hybrid nanostructures for different purposes, among them for diagnostic imaging, MRI. Some of the work led to patentable inventions.
