Research Interests

JR is an integrated research member of iMed.ULisboa, at the Pharmacology and Regulatory Sciences Group. His main research focus has been the study of inflammatory processes related to several diseases (septic shock, ischemia-reperfusion injuries, Alzheimer disease, stroke, thermal injury, acute lung injury, rheumatoid arthritis and inflammatory bowel diseases, among others) with the final aim of the discovery of useful pharmacological targets and their modulation.
